Of all Utah college graduates, only 11% are graduating in tech, while 14.2% of all new jobs are in the field. There are simply not enough people graduating, or anticipated to graduate, in the industry to meet the needs of the state. As an information technology apprentice, you will take the first step in a career in an ever-growing industry with advancement opportunities and above-average salaries.
A technology apprentice works with a mentor and team to identify and work through daily tasks and challenges on a variety of key projects. In some positions, like tech support, IT business analysts and IT sales, apprentices work with clients to support them with their needs and challenges. While most client-related roles require a set working schedule, many positions allow remote work and have flexible work hours. Upon completion, you will receive industry-recognized credentials and a nationally recognized certification from the U.S. Department of Labor.
